“My mentor taught me that if you want something, go get it. Do not ask permission and do not beg for forgiveness. Stand strong and fight for what you believe in without regret.”

Most mentors have no idea the impact that make on a person’s life. I can tell you that my professional mentor has no idea. I need to take a few minutes to outline the impact she had on my life as it has shaped me professionally.

  • You do not need to tell people what you are going to do, just do it and let them be amazed by your accomplishments.

  • Make what others think is impossible, possible.

  • Stand up for what you believe in, even if others do not.

  • Being female does not mean you do not have male tendencies, so use the shock factor when needed.

  • Lead by example as expectations are defined by leaders.

  • When you have done everything you can, move on to the next challenge in life.
